Many students in my class struggle with attention, focus and organizing their thoughts within large, whole group reading activities. Having access to a portable DVD /cd player and cordless headphones to use in a small group will give them multiple ways to reach their reading goals. Providing a flexible, multi-sensory digital reading group using portable and flexible technology will address students attention/focus issues, increase motivation and increase reading ability and confidence in student’s that otherwise would struggle. I will use these items with read-along books and with Scholastic 100 Treasury of 100 Storybook Classics DVD set and books.
