My kinder students love school! They are so eager to learn and are extremely motivated by technology. My students are like sponges, they seem to grasp all that I teach them, when I’m able to provide them with meaningful hands-on activities. With the implementation of more rigorous content standards, kindergartners who start the year off with little to no experience with books or modeled reading at home need even more help to make the academic growth necessary. My students' lives would be greatly impacted by independently reading by the end of the year and by preparing them for the 21st century with the most up-to-date technology. My students come from low socioeconomic homes and learn at a Title I school, so they do not often have opportunities outside of school to interact with technology. My students also need as many opportunities as they can get to practice reading and reading skills while at school.
