Classrooms still look as they did fifty years ago! My desire is to create a "new" environment that gives my students more flexibility in their learning options while also providing opportunity for movement. Students will be able to choose different types of tables, chairs that include stools, yoga balls, floor cushions, and small sofas. Seating options will be placed around the room in a cafe style arrangement with rugs and curtains to give the classroom a warm, home-like feeling. Flexible seating will allow my students to engage with their classmates on the level they feel comfortable with on different given days. It will provide ease for collaborative learning that is open to communication, creativity, and critical thinking that is needed in our fast-paced world.
