These materials are going to be used as a way to aid students in becoming better readers and develop a love for reading. Students will get a sense of pride that they OWN their own book. Also reading at home can not only help them love reading but will help the struggling readers improve as well. The books will be given as a reward for excellent behavior. Students who have good behavior will receive a ticket when it is noticed. They will put their name on this ticket and put it into a hat for a drawing on Friday's. I will pick students and make sure every student gets a book before another student gets two. I really think this will improve their reading skills as well as their behavior in and out of school.
