My students are an energetic, curious, eager group of first graders. They crave hands-on, engaging learning activities that meet their developmental needs as young learners. We are part of a regional magnet, so our students come from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Many of them are also English Learners with their own particular academic needs. Meeting my students' unique learning styles requires planning, time, and resources. I am constantly trying to create a learning environment that is inviting, rigorous, and fun. I want to give my students every opportunity in class to feel success and stability so they can find their own inner Einstein. The children in my classroom today are the future of our world, so I want nothing but the best for them as they start their academic careers in my class!
