The Hawks school cheerleaders unite the student body and school community with their positive, honest, ambitious, hard working, and knowledgeable attitudes. They support their classmates at various school events throughout the year, ensuring that our school's P.B.I.S. (positive behavioral interventions and supports) system continues to be a rewarding and beneficial experience. Some events included our school's Walk for Breast Cancer, pep rallies, and Teachers vs. Students basketball games. Each week, students joined our basketball team in the gym, and with the Hawks Spirit Squad, they supported and cheered for a team that never experienced such support before. Many students expressed interest in joining the infectious environment that was created through the confidence gained through the team. After obtaining a mascot, many young men were excited to become a part of our Hawks Spirit Squad. However, we are unable to accommodate the growing diversity of our interested students. Last year, we were able to provide uniforms to the young women on our squad through a generous donation. With your support, we will be able to make the team more inclusive, adding diverse sizes and more comfortable uniforms for our male students.
