I believe having a more comfortable place for my students to sit will make it easier for them to stay focused and listen during story time or whole group lessons. Right now my students have to sit on the cold hard tile floor or at their desk. When they sit at their desk it is hard to keep their complete attention. They sometimes start digging in their desk or playing with supplies. Most classrooms have carpets for students to sit on but the school does not provide them. If we want one in our classroom the teachers must purchase them with their own funds.
