Inside a nondescript brick building on a busy street corner, there is a roomful of students who face almost overwhelming challenges. All of them come from low-income families, and many learned English as a second language. In addition, they are all severely cognitively disabled and classified as Intellectually Disabled. All of them, however, bring such energy, joy, and commitment to the classroom that I am inspired every day. It is my mission to provide them with the resources that they deserve to learn and grow.

About my class
