Social work is a specialized school-based service that teaches students these everyday social-emotional skills that will foster positive relationships and help students grow into their full potential. Many students who receive social work services are visual learners in need of self-management skills, identifying their emotions, social communication skills, and other tools to demonstrate positive classroom behaviors, foster positive relationships with peers, and generalize these skills into the real world. Social stories and hands-on activities are great ways to enhance these students' engagement in social-emotional learning!
