This year I want to explore the new world of flexible seating in my classroom. I want my students to be able to choose where to sit while building their responsibility for their learning environment. Often times when students are given a choice, their learning is so much deeper and more meaningful. By providing a variety of flexible seating options for my class, I can meet the needs of all my students. The comfy floor chairs will be used at low tables, and can be moved around the room for partner work and independent reading time. The floor cushions will also be an option for low table seating. Both of these items will be the beginning of my flexible seating endeavor.
