The donation of these books will make a huge difference in the lives of my students. The book focuses on how we each have differences and the way that we treat each other. The book will give us so many opportunities to discuss the way that we are different and how we can accept everyone. Many of my students do not have the opportunities to own a book that is their very own. This will give them the opportunity to read the book, discuss the book, and then take the book home to continue to read on their own. In the classroom, we will read this book together each day and have great discussions with each other. This will give our classroom rich literary discussions and point our students to knowing that being different is okay.
