Our small charter school is located in the heart of inner city Los Angeles. Because of the conditions that ravage this portion of the city, our small charter school struggles with obtaining basic services and materials to each of our classrooms. Families in this area lack the resources to help our school obtain the most basic of supplies and materials. My students show great determination although they are aware that they face an increasing difficult atmosphere.
