"The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery." Mark Van Doren.- My students walk into my classroom each day asking not only what we are going to learn, but what we are going to do. I teach a variety of learners from advanced students performing above grade level to students with disabilities. I have high expectations for all of my students, but know that they need different resources to reach their goals. Our student population is extremely diverse both racially and economically, and that is why I love teaching at my school. Some students come to my class with loads of background knowledge about technology, and others have never used a computer. I see it as my job to provide my students with the same opportunities in order for them to leave my class with equal preparation for 4th grade and beyond.
