Hello Artist! Welcome to my Donors Choose website. We are doing great things in my art room. This year we are focusing on "Teaching Art Around the World". Sixth grade students are learning about art from Prehistoric time through the Renaissance following the social studies standards with the art standards for 6th grade. The 5th grade is making art works that focus on "Teaching Art Around America" with the 5th grade social studies standards and art standards. We are a core based art classroom that integrates the core subjects with the hands-on art making process. My common core philosophy is that "The mind cannot forget what the Hands have learned!" Funding is essential to success, so I hope that you will find the inspiration to work with me to make art a common part of every child's life. Thank you for your support, Ms. Duncan
