Google Apps and Extensions in the Chrome Web Store provide many supports to students with exceptionalities. They allow students to access additional resources to support their learning and address their individual needs. There are specialized web apps, screen readers, text-to-speech and speech-to-text, screen magnifies, curriculum resources, lesson ideas, collaboration tools and so much more. Having Chromebooks will provide daily access to the online components of their reading and math interventions. These platforms will aid students in making steady progress on their goals as indicated on their Individualized Education Programs. Additionally, the use of technology will help build their confidence and reinforce strategies needed to overcome the challenges they face in the general education classroom. The use of technology will allow my student's evolve into 21st century learners. With both teacher support and technology, students can access their online learning supports on a daily basis.
