My students are ESL 5th graders. ESL students are students who are still learning the English language in the areas of reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Our school is in a low-income area of Arizona. With the new Common Core State Standards (for which technology is a major emphasis) these students are trying to "catch up" to and remain competitive with other English speaking students in the state.
