I have a variety of learning styles and work preferences represented in my classroom each day. Some students want to crawl under a desk and quietly work alone while others need to move! I want to provide an environment that allows students to choose their best learning location and position. These flexible seating arrangements will allow students to take control of their own learning and eliminate some of the distractions caused by lack of movement or discomfort. The wobble stools keep the kiddos bodies busy balancing so that their minds can remain focused on the lesson. The gaiam cushions allows students to maintain a sense of order by sitting in a regular classroom chair while functioning much like the wobble stools. Students with ADD or ADHD great benefit from these seating choices! Students often wish to sit on the floor to work however they often struggle to find a spot to write. The lap desks will solve this dilemma! Finally, the stools will be used to facilitate small groups. Students will be able to easily gather around me as we dig deep into a topic. Thank-you for your help in giving my students choice.
