I am a Special Education teacher who will be teaching a First grade ICT bilingual class in the Bronx. I will be teaching children with multiple disabilities. My first grade students are diverse and come from many different backgrounds and cultures. My students belong to a lower income level community in the Bronx. About 90 percent of the students in the school are available for free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch. Many of my students receive special education services and some of my students are English language learners. They will need supports in every aspect of their lives, both in the classroom and beyond. My students will learn best in a classroom that offers them the supports they need to participate successfully in classroom activities.
