We are the PreKindergarten classroom at Sunset Elementary School. The students are 4 years old when they enter the classroom for the first time. For most, my PreK classroom is their first school experience. They come from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. Most are learning English as a second language. At this age, children learn through play and hands on activities. It is a challenge gathering materials to keep everyone engaged and many times I spend my own money to get what we need. I would love to add technology and flexible seating to my classroom.
