I am going to be teaching pre-k students in Baltimore City for my first year of teaching (I have a passion for the babies). I taught before in a private preschool church program for about 8 years and I brought some supplies and classroom toys with me, but I still need so much! I started setting up my classroom today, but in a high needs area I want to make my classroom all that it can be and make it an exciting place to come for my students. I appreciate anything that you can give :) My students and I will thank you in advance <3 My students love art and completing messy projects, your donation of paper, smelly markers, do a dot art dabbers, paint, brushes, smocks and the easel, and a drying rack for their pictures will make clean up a little easier in the classroom. Pre-k students are learning to write, and your donation of the magnetic tracing of the letters and the numbers will make a perfect addition to the writing center where they can perfect the skill of tracing a letter and ultimately writing the letter on their own later on that much more fun! My students also love to build with blocks, the magnetic magna tile blocks are fun for all ages and students can create elaborate houses or buildings or ramps, the possibilities are endless. Your donation of the giant sensory table will make for exploration of the 5 senses an engaging center in the classroom. I want my classroom to be an exciting place for my students to come each day, and one where they feel they can show their creativity and master skills that are being taught to them in engaging and new ways.
