The materials asked for are portable, reduce the number of materials that are needed to be purchased as they can move from classroom to classroom and serve several classes. This system is over all cheaper than a whole PCR unit that the school doesn't have the room for. Students will be able to understand the work that goes into gaining DNA samples and analyzing them for testing as a forensic scientist. This allows students to do hands on work that makes them more invested than just learning how to analyze gels that were done for them. The light source that is provided in the blueGel DNA system prevents gels from getting torn during movement, as well as make labs more feasible when different groups are in different rooms.
