My neurodiverse learners are non-verbal individuals who use gestural, visual and physical prompts to communicate. Students have access to communication buttons, devices, picture communication boards and visual aids to help guide their communication. Students are very friendly, cheerful and require a routine. After (teacher) modeling a lesson 2-3 times students are able to execute tasks with minimal prompting. Students are most happy and engaged when their learning is activity based and hands-on.
