I am excited to begin my first year of teaching as a 6th-grade math teacher! I have such a love for mathematics, and I can't wait to share that with my students starting in the fall. My school district is working towards personalized learning and setting up a learning plan for each student to meet their specific needs. Personalized learning allows students to have their own customizable learning plan to meet their strengths, needs, and interests. These manipulatives will allow students the opportunity to both see and feel what is happening in a mathematical process. Personalized learning changes at both the curriculum level, but also the physical aspect of the classroom. This includes multiple seating areas and differentiating instruction.
