I have a very energetic and sweet bunch of 5th graders eager to learn. All 29 of them bring a unique variable to the classroom that seemingly makes it hum. It has been a extreme honor to teach this group of kids, as they are my first class post graduation. As a first year teacher, I have learned there has to be a balance of staying true to fundamentals as well as integrating technology into the classroom. Technology has proven to be a valuable resource in our room, and I like to use it multiple times during the day across all subject areas. It is my hopes to raise enough money to purchase 30 Kindle Fires so each student may benefit from technology. It is difficult to utilize our instruction time efficiently with technology as we share 2 Kindle Fires and 5 laptops among 29 students. I would love to provide each student with a Kindle Fire that is easily accessible to him/her to enrich the learning experience.
