The materials I am requesting will help my students through the basics and advancement of art. We all start somewhere and I am hoping with these materials I can help students grasp at their own personal creativity and work towards their own respect for the arts. The watercolor paper will be for our watercolor unit for the students to try out water color paint, the artists' pencils, black markers and erasers will be for them to be able to value shade with ease, tempura paint for exposure to another paint media and an assortment of different types of paint brushes for them to experiment during their painting activities! My kids comes from backgrounds where art was not the norm and many were never exposed during their younger years. I want to be able to show them the different types of artwork. materials and techniques that are out there so that they can be able to express themselves in a way they might never have thought possible.
