I currently have 14 students on my caseload, which is just below the state maximum of 15. These students are bussed up to an hour a day from low income parts of Louisville into our building. The students are mostly free and reduced friends; however, we do not receive Title 1 funding due to being just below the proper percentile. I have students with a range of disabilities within my classroom. In an elementary resource room,you can have students with: Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Developmental Delays, Orthopedic Delays, Other Health Impairments, Emotional Behavioral Disabilities and Traumatic Brain Injuries. We have students of each kind that make our classroom home for several hours a day.
