Having access to technology in the classroom will benefit all 25 students. My class have diverse needs ranging from non-english speakers to beginning readers to above grade level in reading and math. Having the ability to access to google translate, reading and math programs online in addition to educational games will help reach all learning styles. These iPads will be utilized during our guided reading and guided math instructional block. Students will be able to read stories and listen to stories read to them which will improve their reading fluency and comprehension. They will have access educational videos through sites like BlendSpace that will help them hear and see a concept in reading and math in another way, and they will be able to play games as practice and reinforce essentials skills they will need to have educational success through college and beyond!
