Our elementary is in a small city in Louisiana. Since Katrina, our city has had a tough economic impact. Many of my students' families are struggling to make ends meet. With difficult times at hand, many of my parents are struggling to provide their children with quality literature to read at home. I would love to provide families at our school with literacy bags so they can spend quality time with their child while reinforcing important reading skills that we are working on in the classroom.
