My primary students have severe physical and cognitive needs, with extreme behavioral and emotional challenges. Most of them are refugees or immigrants from all around the world, and have seen and experienced a life that is hard to imagine. We are in a city faced with a desperate fiscal crisis, however in a school that makes an extraordinary effort to meet the unique needs of our students from across the globe.
