Many students do not have access to basic classroom supplies. Because they are going through many things at home, they may not have the resources. I want every single student to be successful, no matter what they can or can't afford! I want to be the change I want to see in the world. I never want for any of my children to be discouraged in school because they don't have the proper supplies. I want to be able to create a safe and fun environment for them. I want to be able to have enough supplies on hand so that every child is on an equal playing field of being successful! I’ve chosen things such as pencils, markers, erasers, dry erase boards, colored pencils, folders, loose leaf notebooks, and pencil boxes so the children can stay organized. These will be the basic things that we will be using in the classroom, and they may take some home to complete their homework. I picked a globe because many students haven’t seen one before. I want to open up their perspective of the world! Other things are going to be used for organization purposes such as drawer organizers, caddies, a pocket chart, and binder clips!
