About my class

By incorporating this new seating option in my classroom, my student will be able to work more efficiently in Socratic circles, small and large group tasks, and even one on one. Having these desks in class will allow for more room, which will allow for a more relaxed classroom environment, and will allow my students to exhibit and practice eye contact during discussions. Currently during class, students try to arrange desks to be connected to their groups or partner, however, they’re often unable to do so efficiently because of the sheer size of their old desks. I am also fortunate enough to teach a handful of ELL students. Incorporating these desks would make partnering so much easier, not just for my ELL students who are partnered more frequently than not, but for my general Ed students.
