I am looking to challenge my students by starting up a printmaking studio in our art room. The middle schoolers at my school are busy and need engaging, inspiring projects. While we have done some basic printmaking with supplies that we already have, I'd love to take advantage of our large art room and the energy that my students bring by starting up a printmaking studio. My students have expressed interest in wood cutting, lino cutting, and screen printing. We do have some items but not enough for an entire class to work in those mediums. Students use relief printing and screen printing to make posters and t-shirts that are inspired by the civil rights movement and black lives matter movement.
