My students are 7 or 8 years old when they enter the third grade. It is very difficult for them to sit still at a desk for extended periods of time. Each year, I have one or two students for whom movement is even more important, but getting out of their seats and walking around the room frequently can be very distracting for other classmates. It is also not safe for them to tip their regular chairs back because they may fall over. These 3 K'Motion Stools, 2 Balance Ball Chairs, and 2 portable stadium seats will allow them to wiggle safely and focus for longer periods of time. I hope that these flexible seating options will ensure that each one of my diverse learners has the tools they need to succeed. I look forward to incorporating more project-based learning activities into our curriculum to increase student engagement.
