The goal of my intervention block is to help fill in the gaps of foundation math skills that my are missing for whatever reason. Most of my students struggle with the concept development of fractions and the 4 basic operations. However since we are in middle school and their scores indicate that they are instructional at the elementary level, what we have available doesn't match their needs. Your donation will go to getting individual fraction kits for each of my students so they can create fraction in general along with getting a visual representation of equivalent fractions. The workbooks/games can help build their skills as a resource and eventually allow them to participate in different stations within my classroom which is my ultimate goal. Many of these resources will be used as visual supports to accompany the written portion of the lesson.
