My students are loving, respectful 7th graders who enjoy coming to school. Our school is a Title I school because of the low income levels of many of our families. Despite the obstacles and challenges many of my students face at home, they love learning. Although my students love learning new things, most of them do not love reading. They need learning experiences that are engaging and meaningful to help them grow as readers and writers. Unfortunately, our school doesn't have money to purchase new materials for our students; however, they still deserve access to materials that will capture their attention and motivate them to learn.
