With limited access to novels and few books available to read at home, my students are not exposed to reading in the way that most middle class American children are. They are hungry for knowledge and opportunity, and I hope to help them on their journey to an outstanding education through novel studies. Introducing fun and exciting novels to students helps to develop a love for reading that will positively affect their futures. Lemonade Wars is a fun story that teaches students about friendship and conflict resolution. After being introduced to the first book in this series, I hope they see the excitement of the developing characters and rush to read the rest of the series.
