The best way to learn is hands-on. These reading tools will allow students to build words and manipulate sounds. The English language has a lot of rules that don't always make sense and that has a lot of exceptions. The best way to become comfortable with these rules is to build words over and over again and use each sound in different ways. This project will focus on providing phonics resources to kindergarteners and 1st graders who are just starting to grasp the complexities of the English language. It will also support self-contained autism classrooms, bilingual classrooms, and English language learners who will benefit most from seeing, hearing, and building words in different contexts and with different modalities. This project provides magnetic letters, letter tiles, stamps, as well as, tactile letters to make building words fun and engaging. Once this foundation is set, students begin to build more complex sentences and read more complex texts. This also allows them to express their own ideas in more complex ways both orally and through writing. Help the English language come alive for our kiddos!
