My students deserve the chance to publish their creativity. The students have created displays that told a story about the person they were studying. However, because we haven't had access to a color printer, the students felt their work didn't fully showcase their efforts. In a world filled with technology, it would be amazing to get them excited about using tools that may push them to achieve more than they ever thought possible. Coding is a great way to do that. Giving them chances to work with technology in a non-threatening and clever way, can completely change how they feel about certain subjects. The printer will also allow us to reproduce materials that will aid them in their English language development. Colorful examples have proven, in my experience, how much student interest will be a factor when working on certain skills. I want my students to have the best of everything and this would be a small, but powerful start in that process.
