Literacy and Science for Prek
Funded Apr 3, 2023Thank you so much for your help! My students love using the magnetic kit, they are very inquisitive about science. They were really excited to see the metal shaving move when they put the magnetic to the case. The CVC word building puzzle is helping my students that are ready to read. They get so excited after sounding out the letters to form the words :) I push them even further by having them use a clipboard and paper to write the CVC word after they have put the pieces together. Also, my students were really surprised to hear that there are different kinds of Cinderella stories. Thank you so much for helping me teach them about different cultures.”

Funded Feb 23, 2022Thank you so much for contributing to my students' learning! They were really excited to receive their "gifts". They were also excited to connect their learning of letters to their new items. It did not take long for my students to start growing with letter awareness and get better at writing using the activities you purchased. I'm hoping that the school's new students will learn and enjoy these items just as much as my students from last year. It is so wonderful to know that you were willing to donate to children to support their learning in their first year of school. Thank you again!”

Powerful Prek!
Funded Nov 15, 2021We love using our new board! We have our alphabet on it and our word wall. When we review a new letter of the alphabet we put the letter card on the board so that everyone can see it. Sometimes we take turns writing our letters on the board. It is very helpful that our board is magnetic, because our alphabet doesn't fall off anymore!
When my students first came in I had the alphabet on the board and some letters for our new word wall. They immediatly noticed it and ran to the board yelling, "Wow!" I had no idea they would be so excited :)
I give my students print out of words that we hear in our stories. Then they take turns putting the words under the letter which the word starts with. Even though it is a simple task, they absoluetly love it!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Tyndall
