Being a child in an under-served area often means that you do not have access to the same experiences and materials that other children do. Some of those materials include a wide variety of books appropriate for their reading level. In my school, we ask the parents of our students to encourage them to read independently every day in order to practice the skills taught at school. However, we know that they may not have leveled books available for their child. These book totes would allow our students to carry books from our classroom library home for much needed independent practice!
