My goal as a math teacher is to make math come alive for my students in engaging, concrete ways. The iPad's will serve as a tool during stations to help kids become independent and fluent with their math facts. Stations is a time where student's are able to work independently or with a group/partner on concepts taught in class. There are multiple rotations with different games, activities, and time with the teacher in small group. Twenty-first century learners have the unique need to be fluent in technology as well as academics. The iPad's provided will give students a way to strengthen their technology skills. Technology always adds the extra amount of motivation for student's to stay on task and focused on their lessons. It exposes children to new technology they may not be able to have contact with and encourages and fosters a positive learning environment.
