This year at my school, English for Speakers of Other Languages class is new. I have access to district curriculum, but not a standard classroom. I am sharing space in our school library. The space is large and is conducive to collaborative learning. However, I lack items you'd find in a typical classroom. I'm asking for a white board easel to use during guided instruction, so my students can engage in the learning process. My lessons are interactive and I involve students in the learning by writing on anchor charts as we converse about the topic at hand. Because I teach ESOL students, it's important to have a language rich classroom. An easel, notebooks, and Scholastic magazine subscriptions will help make that happen!
