Just receiving a book to read lights up my students faces. My students will benefit from these books because they will be able to physically hold a book during our assigned readings in their hands to read with. The class will no longer have to share 2 novels for each reading among an entire large class. Having the ability to physically read a story will allow the students to be engaged, participate and develop a comprehensive understanding of each story. Students that are low reader will be able to follow along during read alouds to words that they may not have known prior to reading.
