My students have one textbook that demonstrates history from the perspectives of individuals who look nothing like them. I want my students to have access to materials that allow them to explore the oppressed individuals in a more positive light and show history in a more interesting format. My students love books and exploring and would benefit greatly from a historical themed library in their very own classroom. They also have no clue how to visualize the map on a flat surface so the globe would add to their expanding knowledge of geography. These materials will help to enhance their performance and allow them to explore why history is so important.
