My students attend Gust Elementary, a Title I school located in the Southwest region of Denver. Approximately 93 percent of the student population qualifies for free and reduced lunch, and 47 percent of the students are English language learners. Despite socioeconomic struggles and difficulties at home, the kids at Gust are amazing and resilient little human beings. This coming year, I will have a classroom filled with dynamic personalities, all hungry for information and knowledge.
