1st graders never stop moving! It is by far the best way for them to learn! My students have already showed me that they are excited to learn in class; but how can I keep that momentum going the entire year? P.E. disguised as play time! After a full 90 minutes of math or reading, my kiddos need a break from their mental focus and working hard in class. Luckily we have a full hour of P.E. time, but what can I do to make that time stimulating for them? We often have to share space and resources. We do not receive funds to buy equipment as those funds are usually allocated to other areas. This is the goal for my class this year! To have a fulfilling and stimulating P.E. time so they are ready to take on the rest of the day!
