I am a Learning Specialist at an open admission high school in an urban setting where close to 90% of the students receive free or reduced lunch. My students travel from all over the city for the opportunity to attend a college prep high school with a rigorous and enriching curriculum and culture. I teach 9th grade English and as a Learning Specialist I provide additional supports for the students with special needs. Many of my students will be the first in their family to attend a 4 year college. My students and I are working relentlessly to prepare for college.
