My students and I live in a large city of Georgia with a high poverty rate. Our school is Title 1 (high needs), serving a large population of students living in transitional housing (shelters). Like many school districts, ours is in an extreme financial crisis and we lack many resources we need to prepare our children for their next level of education. Although we face these challenges on a daily basis, I continually try to afford my students with access to technology most of them do not have at home; better preparing them for the rigor they will face in middle school and high school. They are all eager to learn different things and technology is a great way to facilitate individual learning.
