My students need a place to sit while being together with a carpet. As a unit, we sit and get to know one another. We converse on ideas related to reading, writing, social studies, science, all while sitting on the carpet. It would make the classroom more inviting as well as be a welcoming place for my students to gather. I want to provide a nurturing environment for my students to gather together. Students will stay engaged in the lesson when they have their own space to function. It would be a reminder to them of where to sit during lessons without the complexities of figuring out a spot. We would absolutely benefit from a clean carpet to sit on while we learn!
