After working for nearly three years as a Special Education Instructional Aide (from pre-k to adult transitions!) I am excited to start my 2nd year teaching. This year I made the jump Middle School (7th Grade) ELA and Social Science. With 88.1% of my students considered "Socioeconomically Disadvantaged" it is crucial to get innovative projects that support growth and expand student experiences. Middle school is especially crucial for neurodiverse students, the mindset created during this time will influence their trajectory into high school and beyond. As a Special Education teacher, I am determined to provide the support they need to realize their true potential and I hope that you join me in creating a classroom of respect, kindness and equity. Every donation helps students who face immeasurable obstacles and will enrich their lives and education forever.
